-
The Lytlewode Press is one of Australia's leading private press publishers, with a history of producing fine volumes over several decades on established and outsider artists. These folded broadsides were conceived, researched, written, designed and printed by the art historian and publisher Robert Littlewood, and represent the bottom end of the press's publications, in a format that was originally used to advertise new productions. During 2010 it emerged that this format was an ideal vehicle for presenting concepts or short essays of less than 750 words that were unrelated but born out of research projects for larger studies in graphic prints, biography, ex libris bookplates, and other aspects of art. Collectively they capture the passing parade of the Lytlewode Press, supplemented some post-feminist broadsides.
