The collection contains newspaper cuttings, roneoed papers, pamphlets, drafts of articles, lectures and addresses, statistical bulletins, symposium papers, photocopies, handwritten notes, sets of economics journals and reports. The material covers many of Dr. Hunter's academic subject interests, including the economics of transport, shipping, minerals and petroleum exploration, meat exports, international trade, the Vernon report, prices and water resources. The papers also contain material relating to various committees with which Dr. Hunter was associated, including an inquiry for the British Solomon Island's Protectorate, the Australian Tariff Council and the Enquiry into the Efficacy of Australian Technical Assistance to Countries in Asia conducted by R. I. Downing, A. H. Boxer and H. W. Arndt.
