"One summer afternoon in Melbourne, Alex and I realised that we might make something together given common interests in books, the printed image and text. The four poems Alex sent me are his re-writes of a poem by Yang Wanli (1127-1206). I made images that observed and supported the poems' interrogation of the power of language." -Artist's brochure for Melbourne Art Book Fair, 16-19 March 2017.
