"The poll for a national song [was] held on 21 May 1977. Voting in the poll for the national song was voluntary. The other songs that were listed on the ballot paper were God Save The Queen, Song Of Australia and Waltzing Matilda."--Australian Electoral Commission website, viewed 20 June 2017, http://www.aec.gov.au/Elections/referendums/national-song-poll.htm
