“The Whitton Legacy is a two-volume biography of Louis Keyzor Senior, born into an Anglo-German Jewish family in Cambridge, England, in 1794. A silversmith, jeweller, auctioneer and a watch and clock maker, Kyezor was also a celebrated orator, political agitator, advocate for free education, a property developer and a philanthropist. In 1842 he became his family Patriarch following the death of his father Isaac: in 1869 he was murdered outside his home in Whitton, an event that would be reported all over the world. Book One ‘Kyezor The Crown Prince’ covers Louis’ time in Doncaster and London, his family in Norwich and Australia and his introduction to Whitton. It also includes tales of his second wife Elizabeth, her father Isaac Joseph and their involvement in the notorious Covent Garden Flash house known as ‘Mother H’s’. Book Two ‘Kyezor The King of Whitton’ explores Louis’ life and death in Whitton where he was a major force in converting the neglected hamlet into a respectable town and became affectionately known as ‘The King of Whitton’. It also includes a Kyezor family album covering eight generations of Kyezors.”--Back cover.
