Cartoonist and cartoon historian, Foyle worked for the Daily Telegraph and regularly contributed to the post-1960s Bulletin. He was deputy editor of The Bulletin in the 1980s and was a journalist and cartoonist for The Australian (1996-2009). He was president of the Australian Cartoonists’ Association and has been active in the Media and Entertainment Arts Alliance for over four decades.
