Kickett, Managing Director, Dooja Aboriginal Arts and Indigenous separated child, speaks about his early childhood. He was separated with his four sisters from their parents at the age of 7 by police and sent to Roelands Church of Christ Mission, W.A. He describes the living conditions at the Mission, the history and background of the Mission, and the attitudes and behaviour of the staff. At age 16, he became a railway cleaner at Collie. Kickett expresses his desire for the Mission to be returned to Indigenous people and his belief that Aboriginal people are now in a worse condition than they were at colonisation.
