- Interviews with Australian South Sea Islanders living in the Mackay Region. They are mainly the children or grandchildren of the first immigrant generation to arrive in Australia, and aged between the sixties and nineties. The original generation were part of the approximately 50,000 Pacific islanders who entered into 62,000 indentured labour contracts between 1863 and 1904, coming from around 80 different islands in what are now Vanuatu and the Solomon Island.
