The print depicts a dramatic Kabuki drama scene, where the daughter of a painter, Sesson, 'Yukihime' is taken prisoner. She drew mice and they turn into real mice and save her. The name of the actor, Nakamura Fukusuke and the name of the role is printed, next to the name of the play. The actor, Nakamura Fukusuke is known as godaime Nakamura Utaemon, and was also known as the best actor who plays female roles at that time.
