- Relief shown by contours and spot heights.
- Map for use during 1935 British army manoeuvres, centred on Winchester, Hamphire. This was the largest army exercise in England for 10 years, involving 50,000 men, including mechanised units, trucks, tanks, universal carriers, autogyros and aircraft. Two sides, Westland and Eastland, were fighting for control of an imaginary mineral zone around Winchester. Map shows boundary of maneouvres area in red. Areas out of bounds to all troops and prohibited areas marked in red, with gallops defined. Also shows main routes between towns, other roads, railways, tramways, churches, parks and ornamental grounds, post and telegraph offices, and county and parish boundaries.

- National Library of Australia's copy has handwritten annotation on covers of sheet 1 and sheet 2 "Captain T.G. Lindsay. 1st Br. Irish Guards. Army Manoeuvres 1935".
- National Library of Australia's copy originally owned by Thomas Graham Lindsay, born 3 February 1901, joined the Irish Guards (service number 31179) as a 2nd Lieutenant 1922, promoted to Lieutenant 1924, Captain 1930 serving as Adjutant 1934-1936, Major 1939, and war-substantive Lieutenant-Colonel 1946. He served as aide-de-camp to the General Officer commanding (G.O.C.) London District 1932-1934. He landed in France on D-Day, June 1944, as part of the R.A.F. Regiment (1304 mobile wing), was Mentioned in Despatches (London Gazette 19 December 1946), and awarded an O.B.E. (London Gazette 11 October 1945).
