The biography of a Catholic nun, Mother Theresa McLaughlin (1890-1965), the first Superior of Our Lady's Nurses for the Poor, a Catholic religious institute founded by Eileen O'Connor and Fr Edward McGrath in Sydney (Coogee) in 1913 to care for the sick and dying poor in their homes. Eileen O'Connor died in 1921, leaving the fledgling group in the hands of Theresa McLauglin.
