- Summary:
-
'Family Matters - Strong communities, Strong Culture, Stronger Children' is a national campaign to ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people in Australia grow up safe and cared for in family, community and culture. A key aim is to eliminate the over-representation of Indigenous kids in out-of-home care. This document outlines the evidence-based pathways to achieve these goals and details the policy and practice changes needed. Progress in this 'roadmap' will be monitored through an annual report card.
