- Summary:
-
The book is about the life of five siblings who suffered at the hands of their stepmother after their mother was forced out of her marriage. These siblings endured so much torture as children that even as adults they are still affected. Their father whom they thought was their protector had no power and was literally told what to say and do to these children. These children grew up without experiencing parental love because that was taken away when their stepmother came into their life. This book talks about not only about their horrible experience at the hands of their stepmother but the children's determination to rise above their horrible experience with God's help.
