A decorative certificate with a central text panel bordered by a rampant lion on the bottom left and a kangaroo on the right, each supporting ceremonial flagpoles surmounted by the Union Jack and the Australian red ensign with the insignia of the various other associated associations attached along each pole. Printed in red, blue, black and gilt. An Australian coat of arms appears at the top of the certificate. The background floral pattern depicts wattle blossom and gold leaves. An artist's initials, D. G., appear bottom right.

The Anzac Buffet was located in Hyde Park and was open daily from 9:30am to 10pm. It opened on 29 December 1939 and closed on 3 March 1946, serving an estimated 4,500,000 free meals during its six years and two months of service.

- Text continues: On behalf of the Australian Comforts Fund and the Board of Management of Anzac Buffet, in conjunction with the Returned Sailors' Soldiers' & Airmen's Imperial League of Australia, the Limbless Soldiers' Association of N.S.W., the Jewish War Activities, Committee & the Anzac Buffet Ladies Auxilary.
- National Library of Australia's copy is previously folded, well worn, with a tear, and is filled out for Miss Wall, possibly Miss Mary Wall, who was also the honorary secretary of the Australian Women's Relief Fund for Poland - http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article146382014. It is signed by R. J. Bartley, Chairman of the A.C.F. (NSW Division) and K. McLeod Bolton, Chairman of the Board of Management, Sydney, the 1st day of June 1946.
