This is a collection of scholarly papers on archaeological finds in China of texts on bamboo slips, silk manuscripts and scrolls touching on philosophy, literature and history dating from the Warring States period (475-221 BCE), the Han (206 BCE-220 CE) and Tang (618-907) dynasties. Many of the papers are revised versions of papers presented at an international symposium on Chinese philosophy and ancient Chinese texts held at Macquarie University, Sydney, in December 2014. Some papers on philosophy, intellectual history and literature not presented at the symposium are included. Nine of the papers are in English, five are in Chinese with abstracts in English.
