- "Historical and contextual information: Tulla is a market town in County Clare, Ireland. The name is usually translated as Tulach na nAspal (hill of the apostles) or Tulach na nEaspag (hill of the Bishops), most likely as Tulla grew up around a monestry founded in the 7th century by Mochulla who is now the Patron Saint of Tulla. This reel was popularised by Joe Cooley who recorded it in 1975 as a part of a set that also included 'The skylark' and 'Roaring Mary". (from base of page).
