- "Opus 1 Melissa is dedicated to my first granddaughter. It is inspired by the ambience of Debussy's 'La Cathedrale Engloutie'. It was created for and installed in the waiting rooms at The Alfred Hospital Melbourne during the extreme and intense COVID lockdown period of 2020. The new work deconstructs piano resonance and chord sequences of 'La Cathedrale Engloutie' to illuminate a series of sonic memories that drift from moment to moment. A deconstruction of the old and reconstruction of the beauty within to create the new that invites a dream or two"--preliminary matter.
