- Reduced facsimile. of the maps in the unique 17th-century "Atlas des Grossen Kurfürsten" in the Deutsche Staatsbibliothek, Berlin, which was presented to Friedrich Wilhelm, Elector of Brandenburg, called the Great Elector, by Johan Maurits, Prince of Nassau-Siegen circa 1664.
- The dedication and table of contents (2d and 3d leaves) are printed in present-day type.
- Maps, except 2 anonymous ms. maps, are by J. Blaeu, F. de Wit, H. Hondius, N. Visscher, A. Colom, and others.
- Commentary volume includes transcriptions of the extensive Latin, French and Dutch texts surrounding the maps.
- Original atlas held by the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, Germany.
- Original atlas similar to the Klencke Atlas presented to Charles II in 1660, and now in the British Library.
- Leather label with title in gilt, for use on spine, inserted.
- Accompanied by "Kommentar zum Atlas des Grossen Kurfüsten von Egon Klemp = Commentary on the Atlas of the Great Elector, by Egon Klemp", 293 p., 33 cm. List of subscribers tipped in.
