Background

Biographical Note:

Dr Ronald Mendelsohn, OBE was born in 1914. His long and distinguished career as a senior public servant includes positions of First Assistant Secretary, Department of Housing, 1965-1975 and Assistant Secretary, Prime Ministers Department, 1956-1965. His publications include Social Security in the British Commonwealth (1954), Condition of the People (1979) and Fair Go (1982).

Arrangement:

This collection follows the Dr Mendelsohn's own arrangement, and reflects his work and interest in the social welfare and housing areas.
