Incomplete typescript draft of 'The Mono-Alu People of Bougainville Strait' containing detailed descriptions of various aspects of their culture such as kinship, religion, marriage, ownership and death rites. Many of the statements are supported by verbatim quotations in the vernacular language together with translations. The draft includes a contents list and glossary of the Mono-Alu language.

MS 10654 comprises the personal papers of Emeritus Professor Roger Llewellyn Wettenhall AM, including selected files from his office at the University of Canberra. The collection contains papers relating to the history and policies of the Royal Institute of Public Administration and the Institute of Public Administration Australia, as well as Wettenhall's participation in the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration and the Eastern Regional Organisation for Public Administration. The collection also includes additional papers on government administration in Tasmania, A.C.T. Abstract Or Scope
This collection comprises papers that document West's life and career over a substantial period of time. A large group of the papers relate to West's writings and include manuscript drafts of many of his novels; scripts for plays; scripts for film adaptations of several of his novels; drafts of articles he wrote; and typescripts of speeches. There are newspaper and journal cuttings of articles written by or about West, together with reviews of many of his publications. There is also correspondence relating to publication of West's book and also certificates and significant literary awards he received. Other correspondence includes letters between West and his friend G. Emmett Cardinal Carter, Archbishop Emeritus of Toronto, letters to West from Alfred Hitchcock, Estee Lauder, Pat[ricia] Nixon, HM Queen Frederica of Greece, and Miles, Duke of Norfolk and carbon copies of West's letters to Father Tony Glynn in Japan. Also included are condolences received by West's family on his death in 1999.

The collection comprises lists of records of the Western Pacific High Commissioner, the WPHC Secretariat in Suva, the British Commissioner and Consul in Tonga, and the New Hebrides British Service. The records listed include despatches, correspondence files, personal files, land claims registers, printed documents, financial records, legal records, passport registers, maps and plans. They extend from the formation of the Commission in 1877 until its closure, but do not include records of the Commissioners in the British Solomon Islands Protectorate or the Gilbert and Ellice Islands Colony.
