- Biography/History:

Human rights lawyer and political activist. Gillespie was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1988 and admitted to the Victorian Bar in 1989. In 1992 she became an active supporter of the Bougainville Freedom Movement. Gillespie prepared a number of reports and papers for the organisation.
