- Biography/History:

Cordeaux Dam is located on the Upper Nepean and stores the water of the Cordeaux River and other smaller streams. It was constructed as a curved dam with an unlined side spillway on the left abutment. It is 57 m height; 405 m long; and holds 93,640 megalitres. Construction began in 1918 and was completed in 1926.

- Map of the catchment area for the proposed lower Cordeaux Dam, which is indicated by red lines. The catchment area along the Cordeaux River is extended by including Cordeaux Creek, Kentish Creek as well as Sandy Creek, in addition the catchment shown in Sheet 9, that is, Gondarrin Creek, Cordeaux River and Kembla Creek. The local sketch gives an overview of this catchment area measuring 39 3/4 square miles within the boundary line of the Sydney Water Supply catchment area of 354 square miles.
