Honeychurch is one of seven children, who were all removed from their Aboriginal mother and later adopted. She was removed as a baby to an orphanage and adopted at the age of 1 with her sister Iris by a non-Indigenous family with three natural children and two younger adopted Aboriginal boys. She speaks about her and Iris' life as children. Lyn has reunited with all her siblings and with her white birth father before his death.
