Morcom speaks about being placed at Garden Point Mission, Melville Island at the age of 1 week. He describes his childhood at the Mission. In 1963, he was sent to Adelaide and fostered by a family in the suburb of Elizabeth. In 1972, Morcom returned to Darwin to live. He speaks about his return to Garden Point in 2000 for its 60th celebration, and about his poetry, which helps him to heal the effects of the separation from his culture.
