Summary

Richard Lim, medical practitioner and member of the Legislative Assembly, talks about his family background, growing up in Malaysia, coming to Australia in 1963 to study at De La Salle College, Scarborough, Qld, studying medicine at the University of Queensland and the difficulties encountered in getting the degree. He then discusses becoming a politician and joining the Country Liberal Party and gives his views on topics such as Aboriginal affairs, euthanasia, assimilation policies and education.

Biography/History

Country Liberal Party Member for Greatorex, central Australia, in the Legislative Assembly of the Northern Territory, and vice-president of the party, foundation member of the Council of the Northern Territory University.
