Jenny MacDougall is a descendent of Hamilton Hume and part of the large Hume dynasty. She moved with her family to Goulburn after the flood of 1950 to the old family home 'Garroorigang'. She became a nurse and while working in Darwin gained an insight into Aboriginal culture. She worked for the public service as Management Supervisor in the Meat Works. Since the 1970's she has been involved in the Animal Liberation movement.
