Watson speaks about his memories of his birth parents. He and his siblings were sent to Palm Island, Qld. after the death of their mother. He was fostered to a family at Palm Valley while his siblings were sent to the dormitories. His birth father later remarried and regained custody of his children. However, Watson's foster family would not release him. He talks about the effect of family separation on his life and the links between family separation, substance abuse and suicide.
