The booklet briefly describes special education employment possibilities in the state of Michigan for 18 areas of exceptionality or specialized service. Discussions usually include suggestions for professional education, description of work performed, and a listing of desirable personal attributes. Individually discussed are the blind and partially seeing, crippled or otherwise health impaired, deaf and hard of hearing, emotionally disturbed, institutional programs, learning disabled, educable mentally handicapped, severely mentally handicapped, trainable mentally handicapped, multiply handicapped, occupational therapy, paraprofessionals, physical therapy, school psychological service, school social work service, speech correction, vocational rehabilitation, and vocational training for the handicapped.
