Intended for special education administrators, the booklet provides information on the scope, philosophy, and operating methods of grant making foundations; the grant making process; and the potential relevance of foundations as a resource for special education programs. Sections are included on the following topics: an overview of foundations (including a description of the different types of foundations); steps for finding an interested foundation (things to know about the foundation before making the approach); and ways to contact a foundation (preproposal preparation, the letter proposal, and the personal interview).
