This is a comprehensive listing of federal and state bilingual programs in New York State by funded project, program or district, number of pupils in program, grade level, language or type of program, grant amount awarded, and project director or contact person. The following types of programs are represented: (1) basic programs funded by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Title VII, (2) fellowship programs at institutions of higher education funded by Title VII, (3) teacher training programs at institutions of higher education funded by Title VII, (4) support services projects funded by Title VII, (5) educational opportunity programs funded by ESEA Title I and New York State Pupils with Special Educational Needs (PSEN), (6) migrant programs funded by Title I under the Migrant Bilingual Materials Acquisition and Program Development Project, (7) programs funded under ESEA Title IV-C, and (8) temporary apportionment for pupils of limited English speaking proficiency under New York State Chapter 720.
