Objectives, suggested learning activities, and performance criteria are listed for six modules (sample subtopics in parentheses): human growth and development (prenatal influences); orientation to disability and handicapping conditions (etiology, characteristics); behavior principles (shaping, accelerating, reinforcing behavior); interactive processes (interpersonal communication, positive and negative feedback); leisure programing (recreational resources, activity program planning); and client care (safety, daily care).
