This curriculum guide outlines three credits of study, one credit for each of the grade levels 10, 11, and 12. Intended as an optional study area, the program provides awareness and exploration for those students who aspire to postsecondary study and introduces skills to those who wish to explore trades and technologies in employment after school. Each level has core and option modules that offer flexibility. Introductory materials include an overview, information on implementation, and goals and objectives. Electricity/Electronics (E/E) 101 has 11 modules: student orientation and safety, tools and soldering techniques, direct current theory, passive components, alternating current theory, active components, power supplies, audio circuits, residential wiring, career exploration, and printed circuits. E/E 201 has nine modules: student orientation and safety, components, amplifiers, electronic circuits, radio, optoelectronics, residential wiring, printed circuits, and career exploration. E/E 301 has 10 modules: student orientation and safety, components, electronic circuits, electronic communication system, television, digital concepts and microcomputers, fibre optics, robotics/interfacing, residential wiring, and career exploration. Each module has these components: major objective, suggested materials. Appended are a nine-page chart correlating student texts and teacher references to module topics, seven pages of references, and a list of 15 publishers. (YLB)
