- The statuary was the work of Sydney sculptor William Priestly MacIntosh. It adorned what was the third of Sydney's AMP Buildings, which was located in Pitt Street, in the block between Hunter and Bond Streets. The building was completed in ca. 1912 and stood until 1962, when it was demolished. The Latin inscription translates as 'A Sure Friend in Uncertain Times'.--Information from researcher.
