-
Mr Finck speaks about growing up in Torrensville, and his work in sales before his conversion to Christianity. Mr and Mrs Finck became missionaries with the United Aborigines Mission, and took over the running of Colebrook Home, Eden Hills in 1957. They describe conditions at the Home when they arrived. The Fincks received no remuneration for their work and their aim was to help the children in their care 'to a knowledge of the Lord.' They describe how this was encouraged in the daily routine of the Home. They also talk about how children came to be placed in their care and about some of the problems they encountered in running the Home. They express their views on the closure and demolition of the Home, the Stolen Generation, and the Bringing Them Home Inquiry.
