Papers 1817-1826 of Bishop William Howley including reports of Auxiliary Bible Society of New South Wales and letters of Rev. Richard Hill and Archdeacon T.H. Scott in Sydney. Records 1861-1892 of the Vicar General. Papers 1883-1891 of Lord Selborne relating to annexation of New Guinea and Fijian land claims. Correspondents include Sir Henry Parkes and Sir Arthur Gordon. Founded by the Archbishop of Canterbury in 1610, Lambeth Palace Library is the repository of the records of the Archbishops of Canterbury, central institutions of the Anglican Church, and ecclesiastics and other individuals closely associated with the Church.
