Painter, illustrator, printmaker and set designer Sir Sidney Nolan OM, AC (1917–1992) is one of Australia's most significant modernist artists. The Papers of Sidney Nolan comprise an accumulation of personal and business records, the bulk of which date from the early 1960's to early 1990's, that document his personal life and artistic career from the late 1940's until after his death in 1992. The papers comprise diaries and notebooks, personal correspondence from family and friends, business correspondence from galleries, museums, universities and publishing houses, financial records including the sale of paintings and art supplies, printed documentation and research notes in relation to his artworks, photographs, press clippings, postcards and catalogues.

Records 1971-80 of the '96 Group relating to the painter John A. Gillfillan (1793-1864) who settled in New Zealand and Australia. Correspondents include Flora Spurdle, W.R. Long, Douglas Pike and N.B. Nairn.
Accounts, correspondence, memoranda and other papers relating to Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. They originated in various departments, including Accounts, Administration, Cashier's, Exchange Control, Economic Intelligence, Governor's and Secretary's, Overseas. Among the topics covered are: issues of stocks; UK trade with the Empire; Empire Marketing Board; Empire cotton; finances of the Dutch East Indies; Empire trade; migration within the British Empire; banking legislation; banking statistics; exchange control; money supply; gold reserves; wool shipment; gold production; mineral reports; affairs of Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Reserve Bank of Australia; Bank of New Zealand; and the 1930 Niemeyer Mission to Australia. There are also some letters and petitions from convicted forgers and transportees to the Bank of England requesting assistance to purchase stores and clothing for the voyage to New South Wales.
The Anne Summers Women's Collection (ASWC) comprises of 796 books collected since the 1960s. This material is a unique record of the intellectual development of feminists engaging with transnational intellectual networks and social history of those times, including the impact of feminism on shaping social policy in Australia. The majority of materials in this collection are books published by various publishers including a number of government publications. The content covers a wide range of topics including women's rights, women's history, biographies, women and business, women in politics, sex roles, diversity, parenting, affirmative action for women, women and the media etc. There are also a small number of flyers, pamphlets, journal articles and speeches included in this collection. Most of of the volumes in this collection have handwritten annotations by Anne Summers. The collection also includes wide-ranging accompanying materials originally inserted into individual volumes, such as postcards, bookmarks, post-it notes, newspaper cuttings, press releases, invitations, letters, etc.

The collection comprises papers relating to the business and personal activities of Maldwyn Rees editor and compiler of The Welsh Australian - a magazine for the Welsh community in Australia, and his wife Blodwen. The Welsh Australian began publication in 1935 with articles and contributions solicited being drawn from correspondence within this collection. Maldwyn Rees' papers include material from various Welsh Australian churches and cultural activities of the welsh community. Rees served as the Sessions Clerk for the Welsh Presbyterian church for over thirty years during which time he was responsible for the publication of Y Ddolen - The Link. Rees resigned from this position in 1972. The bulk of MS 9926 comprises Herbert Feith's papers relating to Indonesian politics and society, which were accumulated during the course of his long career. There is a large series of correspondence, much of which is with other noted Indonesianists; writings by Feith, including drafts of his books, conference papers and articles; subject and research files; lecture notes; writings by others on related topics; and cuttings, many of which are from Indonesian newspapers (115 boxes, 1 carton).
