Discusses the Milirrpum v Nabalco case and the misconceptions of the judge in not recognising that the Yolngu people did have a constitutional right, or title, to their land as demonstrated by the possession by certain clan members of Dhulmu-mulka Bathi (sacred dilly bags); argues that Australian society in general has not made the effort to learn Yolngu languages or methods of communication and that Yolngu are expected to learn English so that they can communicate with non-Yolngu society.
